Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Part-Time Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about customer service and sales, with the ability to create a positive shopping experience. Duties

• Assist customers with product selection and provide product demos to enhance their shopping experience
• Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales opportunities
• Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, utilizing phone etiquette when applicable
• Support store operations through basic retail math, including calculating discounts and totals
• Supervise or assist in supervising other team members when required, ensuring smooth store operations
• Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for all shoppers

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers effectively
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, aiding communication with a broader customer base
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math is desirable
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Supervising experience is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks such as stocking shelves and merchandising
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
