JOB DESCRIPTION Inside Scientific Sales Representative (4770) Location: The Woodlands, TX Position Summary Our client is looking for an Inside Scientific Sales Representative to manage routine customer communications, handle inbound requests, deliver quotes, and coordinate orders to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery. The role also involves maintaining customer accounts, supporting custom requests, and following ISO-compliant procedures for quality and complaint handling. Key Responsibilities * Serve as the primary point of contact for routine customer communications via phone, email, and occasionally in person. * Process customer inquiries, generate quotes, enter orders, and schedule shipments in coordination with production and sales teams. Duties and Responsibilities * Verify order details (product specs, quantities, pricing, terms, and ship dates) and ensure complete, accurate documentation. * Support custom product requests and non-standard orders by collaborating with technical, production, and marketing teams. * Maintain and update customer accounts, including handling new account setup and modifications. * Address customer complaints, route issues to appropriate departments, and initiate nonconformance reports as needed. * Provide product recommendations, alternate solutions, and technical education to improve customer satisfaction and drive sales. * Monitor demand trends and report notable changes to marketing and sales leadership. * Support administrative tasks such as invoice distribution, debt collection assistance, catalog/sample requests, and data entry. * Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ISO-compliant procedures, manage time effectively, and maintain proficiency in office and CRM software (Salesforce preferred). Qualifications * Associates degree (Chemistry, Science or related discipline is preferred) * Previous chemistry or laboratory knowledge is highly desired * Customer service or sales experience * Experience using Microsoft Office products Additional Information * Direct Hire * $21/hr * Due to the high-volume of applicants, only candidates who meet the requirements of the position will move through the interview process. * This position does not offer C2C or H1-B sponsorship. * Candidate acknowledges upon application that this position is not eligible for per diem or relocation reimbursement.
