Full description of the position

Seeking a technically skilled, results-oriented Sales Engineer to lead business development, customer engagement, and technical solution design for Induction Heating Systems used in industrial, automotive, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and energy applications. The ideal candidate combines deep technical understanding of induction heating technologies with the ability to build relationships, identify opportunities, and translate customer needs into engineered solutions that deliver measurable results. You will serve as the key interface between customers, engineering, and production--driving growth through consultative sales, application expertise, and hands-on problem solving. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development * Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across target markets such as automotive, metal processing, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, tool manufacturing, and energy. * Develop and execute growth plans to meet or exceed revenue targets. * Deliver technical sales presentations, product demos, and proposals tailored to customer applications. * Manage complex sales cycles from lead generation through quotation, contract negotiation, and post-sale support. * Collaborate with marketing to identify new verticals and develop sales collateral and case studies. Technical Application Engineering * Analyze customer processes and requirements to specify appropriate induction heating systems, including power supply, coil design, frequency range, and automation integration. * Conduct feasibility studies and collaborate with engineering to develop custom system proposals. * Interpret technical drawings, power requirements, and metallurgical characteristics to ensure system fit and performance. * Provide pre- and post-sale technical support, including system commissioning, operator training, and troubleshooting assistance. * Participate in discussions to help guide new product development based on market feedback. Customer Relationship Management * Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, system integrators, and end users. * Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers--identifying opportunities to improve quality, throughput, and energy efficiency using induction heating. * Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication, issue resolution, and technical guidance. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. * 3+ years of experience in industrial capital equipment sales or applications engineering, preferably in induction heating, welding, brazing, or heat treatment systems. * Proven track record of achieving sales goals in a technical or engineered solutions environment. * Solid understanding of electrical principles (frequency, impedance, current density), metallurgy, and thermal process control. * Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. * Strong project management and CRM skills (e.g., Salesforce). * Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and occasionally internationally. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with induction systems or RF heating technologies. * Background in industrial automation or PLC-based control systems integration. * Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) or thermal simulation software. * Experience supporting heat treating, brazing, shrink fitting, or bonding applications.
