Full description of the position

Business Title: Regional Sales Manager Reports to: Vice President of Sales Objective: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing Wright Tool's business portfolio in the assigned territories. The role will be tasked with cultivating long-term relationships with internal & external partners, manufacturing representatives, and distributors. The Regional Sales Manager will also create, implement, and measure both short and long term strategies to increase sales that meets or exceeds Wright's company objectives. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and own sales plans and strategies to increase market share within region * Provide regular sales reports, activity, and performance metrics on business plans to ensure targets are being met * Proactively support rep agencies with training, communications, relevant samples, applicable company updates, joint visits to distributors, and available marketing materials * Conduct monthly presentations (in-person or teams) to prospective and existing customers to ensure that the products and services offered are thoroughly explained and understood * Lead or actively participate as needed in national and regional trade shows, including the execution of assigned follow-ups * Leverage relationships, resources, and opportunities within organizations that Wright Tool is a part of * Identify and develop new opportunities within a current customer base. Examples would include expanding to locations owned by the customer that have not yet been penetrated * Effectively communicate best practices, industry trends, competitive updates, and cross-territory opportunities with team members to promote awareness and consistency * Responsible for formulating pricing strategies that follow company guidelines and match financial goals * Identifies any operational issues that might arise and work with internal team for resolution, while communicating to impacted parties as appropriate * Execute promotional plans * Manage all aspects of existing accounts within territories, working with internal and external team members as needed. This includes but is not limited to regular touch points with key accounts, resolving issues in a timely manner, and growth plans * Meets or exceed gross margin goals. * Develops and maintains a fully documented sales process for accounts within assigned territory * Miscellaneous duties as assigned, including participation in work events on weekends or outside of standard core weekday hours Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or 8 years of sales experience within distribution industry in lieu of degree * Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management, specifically working with manufacturer sales representatives. * Minimum 2 years of industrial, MRO sales experience. * Must have a valid US Driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications * Proficient in Microsoft Office products * Previous experience with Epicor or comparable Enterprise Resource Program * Basic knowledge of business finance. * Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. * Ability to assess sales and business results. * Proficiency in marketing, promotion, and sales processes. * Proven leadership and accountability driving sales in assigned territory * Willingness to travel 65%+ and work in a team of professionals.
