The Senior Commercial Account Manager oversees complex commercial insurance accounts and provides strategic risk management solutions to clients. The Senior Commercial Account Manager will manage high-value relationships, drive client retention, and collaborate closely with Producers and executive leadership to develop and implement tailored insurance programs. This position requires deep industry knowledge, strong negotiation skills, problem solving abilities, and the ability to manage a diverse book of business while delivering exceptional customer service. Qualifications * * Bachelor's degree, or equivalent industry experience. * Minimum of 10+ years of experience in commercial insurance, with considerable experience in account management and client-facing roles. * Strong understanding of complex commercial insurance products, markets, and risk management practices. * Proven ability to manage high-value client relationships and large books of business. * Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to develop creative solutions for clients' insurance needs. * Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and lead a team. * Proficiency in insurance management software and tools. * Relevant state insurance licenses required. Preferred * * Experience with specialized lines of insurance and alternative risk transfer methods. * CIC, CPCU, or ARM designations. Key Responsibilities : Client Relationship Management : * Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-profile commercial clients, managing complex accounts across various industries. * Build, develop, and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-level consultation and ongoing strategic advice on risk management and insurance solutions. * Conduct in-depth reviews of clients' risk profiles and advise on appropriate coverages, limits, and policy terms. Strategic Account Oversight : * Develop customized insurance programs tailored to the specific needs of large, sophisticated clients, often covering a wide range of risks including property, casualty, liability, and specialty lines. * Ensure timely and accurate handling of renewals, endorsements, certificates, and other policy-related documents. * Lead policy negotiations with carriers to secure favorable terms and conditions for clients. Sales & Business Development: * Partner with Producers to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding existing client accounts through cross-selling and upselling additional services and coverages. * Participate in client prospecting efforts, proposals, and presentations to secure new business, demonstrating the firm's value proposition and industry expertise. * Support growth targets while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction and retention. Claims & Risk Management Support: * Provide senior-level support to clients during the claims process, working closely with claims adjusters and underwriters to ensure timely and equitable resolution. * Offer strategic guidance on loss control and risk mitigation practices to help clients reduce exposure and protect their assets. Leadership & Mentoring: * Mentor and guide junior account managers and staff, fostering professional development and ensuring the highest level of service across all client interactions. * Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and sales, to drive operational efficiency and improve overall client experience. Market & Industry Expertise: * Stay current on market trends, new insurance products, and regulatory developments to ensure clients receive the most competitive and compliant solutions. * Represent the company at industry events, seminars, and conferences, staying informed on emerging risks and industry best practices. Compliance & Documentation: * Ensure all policies, renewals, and endorsements are processed in accordance with industry regulations and company standards. * Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions and transactions in the agency management system, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Dillingham Insurance
