Full description of the position

Major Distributor is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for their South East region. This position is responsible for establishing sales for a geographic region by establishing key sales partnerships, managing Representative Agencies and Distributors in attaining their sales targets and growing the Classic Wire business within each account. Nature & Scope Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, this position has primary contact with Electrical Distributors and Representative Agencies, with responsibility for developing sales within a defined geographic territory. Responsibilities * Establish and maintain an ethical and professional relationship with all customers and manufacturer sales representatives. * Develop new opportunities / customers through appropriate management of distributors and sales representatives. * Develop and maintain sales programs and established pricing levels. * Develop and maintain direct relationship with Key distributor accounts including Regional / National Distributors. * Develop and manage price quotations in your Region. * Coordinate product training schedules with distributors, contractors, and sales reps. * Coordinate work with Inside Sales Group, including pricing decisions, product introduction, local inventory decisions and managing sales reps. * Participate in regional trade shows; work with Marketing to coordinate / set up. * Coordinate customer discrepancies and returns with credit * Keep Sales Group informed on all market intelligence and competitive pricing. * Develop sales forecasts and strategic plans to develop region. * Weekly Itinerary / travel schedule to Sales Group. * Weekly report to VP - Sales & MKTG on previous weeks activities. * Extensive travel (70%+) to include joint sales calls with sales representatives and direct calls to House Account Requirements * A self-starter: ability to deal with an unstructured work environment. * Ethical in all areas of professional and personal life. * Good people skills, good team skills, good facilitator. * Good PC and systems skills * Willing to work long hours and ability to work from home office environment if necessary. * Good team leader, works well with customers. * Strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) * Self-starter, energetic, with ability to think outside the box * Demonstrated ability to sell & meet forecasts * Excellent management skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year Work Location: On the road
