PREFERRED CANDIDATE LOCATION- Seattle, Washington-Idaho-Oregon-California- Nevada, Utah American Alloy is a growth-focused, US-based fabrication partner serving OEMs and manufacturers in custom packaging equipment, automation, construction and mining machinery, and mission-critical aerospace, defense, and space applications. This outside sales role is a key part of that growth strategy: you will be responsible for identifying and developing new customers and collaborating closely with our operations and engineering teams to bring differentiated solutions to market. For the right person, this is an opportunity to step into a high-visibility, high-impact role where your initiative, relationships, and commercial judgment directly shape the future trajectory of the business. Minimum Requirements: * Seasoned Sales professional with pursuer mentality * Ability to generate your own leads through cold calling, research, networking and driving your territory. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred. * 3+ years of Sales experience with proven and measurable results. Experience in Manufacturing, Fabrication or OEM would be a plus. * Capable of developing winning sales strategy that builds customer relationships. * Computer literate and open to new technology as part of a broad sales strategy. * Superior communication and relationship building skills. * Compelling negotiation and closing techniques. * Basic knowledge or ability to learn the equipment and capabilities being used to make the products. * The ability to explain the processes needed to complete each project would be a plus. * Basic knowledge of costing structure. * Ability to handle rejection and difficult customers in a non-personal manner. * Valid state driver's license. * Other job duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential job functions. * Identify revenue opportunities within customer base through good communications, processes, and procedures. * Increase sales in respective accounts. * Selling solutions for customers across all levels of an organization. * Answer fabrication questions on the spot related to welding layout, material type and polishing. * Maintain customers' best interests in mind, which may include losing fabrication hours to keep return business. * Keep a constant eye on new potential customers and markets. * Know the competition and keep up on the type of qualifications company needs to stay in certain markets. * Ensure handoffs to appropriate team members on a timely and efficient basis to provide an unparalleled customer-centric experience. * Remain constantly aware of workloads in the estimator and shop areas. * Make drawings or sketches of parts to send to estimators. * Keep accurate data on each customer on a daily basis. * Ensure reporting and communications are frequent and bi-directional with both internal and external customers. * Keep fellow team members informed of activities such as timely reporting of obstacles, successes, and changes. * Travel for customer visits, prospecting and other sales related reasons. * Other job duties as assigned.
