*Job Description -- DOD / Government RFQ Inside Sales Representative Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: $50,000 Base Salary + Commission + Bonus Structure Schedule: Monday-Friday (Business Hours) Company Overview Cyclone Bolt, Inc. is a Houston-based manufacturer and industrial fastener supplier supporting critical industries including energy, infrastructure, aerospace, and defense-related supply chains. We are hiring an inside sales professional to support RFQ-driven DOD and government procurement opportunities through consistent quoting execution, on-time submissions, and disciplined follow-up. Position Summary The DOD / Government RFQ Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing inbound RFQs, building accurate quotes, coordinating pricing and lead times, submitting bids on time, and tracking outcomes. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and urgency. This is a process-driven role built around consistent daily execution: quote, submit, follow up, track, repeat. Core Responsibilities RFQ Management & Quoting * Review and process incoming RFQs and procurement requests * Prepare accurate quotes for industrial fasteners and related products (nuts, bolts, studs, washers, threaded rod, etc.) * Verify specifications, quantities, compliance requirements, and delivery timelines * Coordinate material availability, lead times, and sourcing through internal teams and approved suppliers * Submit quotes and supporting documentation in a timely and professional manner Follow-Up & Customer Support * Follow up on open quotations and confirm receipt/status with buyers * Maintain professional communication with procurement teams through email and phone * Support order conversion by answering product, lead time, and documentation questions quickly Tracking & Organization * Maintain an internal RFQ/quote tracker with accurate, up-to-date information * Track wins/losses and capture relevant pricing feedback when available * Keep documentation organized for repeat quoting and continuous improvement Internal Coordination * Work closely with purchasing, operations, and quality teams to ensure quotes align with production and fulfillment capability * Ensure quote accuracy and minimize errors that could cause delays or compliance issues Required Qualifications * 2+ years of experience in inside sales, quoting, purchasing, or procurement support * Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple quotes simultaneously * Solid communication skills (email + phone) and professional follow-through * Proficiency with Excel and basic quoting/tracking workflows * Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with deadline-driven work Preferred Qualifications * Experience quoting industrial fasteners or related MRO / manufacturing products * Familiarity with RFQ/bid-based selling environments * Experience working with procurement portals, vendor systems, or structured bidding formats * Knowledge of documentation requirements such as Certificates of Conformance (COC) and traceability practices Veterans Encouraged to Apply We proudly welcome applications from U.S. military veterans.
