Account Executive - Employee Benefits Location: Remote (California-based) Travel: Required for client visits within CA (Walnut Creek, Sacramento, San Francisco, Phoenix) Salary: $145,000 base + bonus Direct Hire Overview Seeking an experienced Employee Benefits professional to manage a book of midtolarge group clients and lead strategic health & welfare initiatives. This remote role requires California market expertise and the ability to meet clients in person across the state. Responsibilities * Serve as the primary advisor for Employee Benefits clients. * Lead renewals, negotiate with carriers, and develop benefit strategies. * Deliver all service components including open enrollment, compliance updates, and vendor coordination. * Analyze claims, stoploss data, and market trends to guide client decisions. * Maintain strong CA carrier relationships and stay current on regulatory changes. * Collaborate with internal service teams to ensure accurate, timely deliverables. Qualifications * 7-12+ years in Employee Benefits consulting or brokerage. * Valid California Life, Accident & Health license. * Strong knowledge of CA medical and ancillary markets. * Experience with fully insured, selffunded, and levelfunded plans. * Solid understanding of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA. * Excellent communication, presentation, and clientfacing skills. * Ability to work remotely and travel for client meetings in Walnut Creek, Sacramento, San Francisco, Phoenix.
