Aloha! We are a local family business that has been operating in the islands for 38 years and employs over 160 employees. The Art Source, Inc. is the parent company to our three sister companies - Pictures Plus, Plus Interiors & CocoNene. Our core competency as a business is local manufacturing of customizable products for the home: artwork, interior furniture & home decor. We make all the products in our factory on the west side of Oahu in Kapolei and we sell to our customers through our various retail locations on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. We sell island lifestyle home decor and personalized gifts and souvenirs. To learn more about our brand, feel free to view this short 2-minute video: [please apply online] Additionally, here's a link to our website to check out the various, fun products: [please apply online] We are looking for a friendly, driven and reliable sales associate to be a brand ambassador to all things Aloha for our store in Ala Moana Shopping Center. This means providing unmatched customer service and selling our fun, unique and Hawaii-made gifts & souvenirs, all while imparting our own unique Hawaii stories with guests. Pay is between $17-20/h (base plus incentive). Day-to-day responsibilities: * Assist customers with shopping experience, sharing our story, brand and products * Hitting individual sales goals & other key metrics * Keeping the store looking great at all times, cleaning as needed * Stock/inventory & shipment duties * Cash handling, operating point of sale programs, preparing bank cash deposits Here is what we are looking for in candidates: * 1-2 year experience in customer service and retail, preferred * Experience with handling cash and POS systems, preferred * Conversational Japanese, preferred - Warm, friendly, positive attitude - excited to share the CocoNene Way and products with guests * Goal-oriented, driven to grow sales * Strong desire to learn, grow and improve * Reliable * Able to work independently * Flexible, ability to adapt to daily responsibilities * High school graduate or equivalent Status and Schedule: * Flexible/open availability (store hours 10am-6/8pm) * Looking for help on the weekends and potentially during the week, as well Please send your resume and cover letter if interested.
