Job description: Position: Full Time Account Manager - Special Event Temporary Staffing Reports to: Senior Account Manager Company: Nasco Staffing Solutions - Seattle/Washington * Full-time role with varied hours -- not a standard Monday-Friday, 9-5 schedule. * Availability outside regular working hours is required, including occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime based on event needs. Job Description: Nasco is seeking a professional, detaildriven Account Manager to join our Seattle team. As an Account Manager at Nasco, your role centers on supporting event clients, coordinating staffing needs, and ensuring smooth, professional delivery of hospitality and event services. You function as the bridge between clients (hotels, convention centers, event venues) and Nasco's event staff, ensuring both sides receive exceptional communication, service, and results. Primary responsibilities: 1. Client Relationship & Account Management * Serve as the main point of contact for clients such as corporate clients and venues, conferences, convention centers, and hotels. * Build long-term relationships by understanding each client's event flow, service standards, staffing preferences, and communication style. This includes, but is not limited to, understanding each client's required dress code, protocols, and expectations, and providing qualified and repeat staff to meet client needs. * Conduct regular check-ins to confirm satisfaction with staff performance and Nasco's service. * Provide rapid responses to urgent client needs, last-minute staffing changes, or special requests. 2. Event & Staffing Coordination * Review incoming event orders and create shift offers covering dates, times, roles, dress codes, and staff needed. * Ensure staff meet client requirements (e.g., certification, experience level, dress code). * Coordinate staff availability, confirm assignments, and maintain shift rosters. * Anticipate staffing challenges (e.g. early mornings, remote locations, specialty skill requirements) and ensure the correct number of properly credentialed staff are scheduled for every event. 3. Operational Oversight During Events * Act as the operations liaison between the client and Nasco's staff. * Ensure staff are aware of venue logistics and meeting points, check in on time, follow client instructions, and uphold hospitality standards. * Troubleshoot issues quickly--such as noshows, schedule changes, or client-requested adjustments. * Gather feedback after each event to improve future staffing. 4. Administrative & Financial Work * Prepare quotes, staffing estimates, and confirmations for clients. * Maintain and update internal systems to ensure accurate logs of hours, roles, and staff performance notes. * Prepare and distribute accurate invoices by ensuring event details and staffing numbers are correct. * Track account profitability and monitor recurring or high-volume clients for supervisor review. 5. Internal Collaboration & Staff Communication * Work with recruitment team to identify staffing gaps or upcoming needs. * Clearly communicate expectations of professionalism to all staff--dress code, responsibilities, onsite etiquette, etc. * Help mentor new event leads/supervisors and provide additional support for complex events. * Foster a positive culture among casual staff to improve retention and reliability. 6. Strategic Growth & Client Retention * Look for opportunities to expand services with current clients (more shifts, additional roles, multiday events) based on strong past performance. * Monitor satisfaction to support long-term relationships by keeping service quality high to prevent account drop-off. * Provide insight on trends in staffing needs, event forecasting, and seasonal demand, and offering solutions to support these trends.
