The Firearms Sales Associate at Hebert Guns is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers in purchasing firearms and related accessories. This role requires in-depth knowledge of firearms, compliance with local and federal regulations, and the ability to educate customers on safe handling and usage practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for firearms, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Position Overview: As a Firearms Sales Associate, you will be tasked with guiding customers through the entire sales process, from initial inquiries to final transactions. You will need to maintain a thorough understanding of our product offerings, including Firearms, ammunition, optics, and safety equipment. Your role involves ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing firearms sales and conducting background checks as required. Must be able to pass a drug test. Must follow instructions. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! Must be able to work Tuesday through Saturday. Key Responsibilities: * Assist customers in selecting firearms and accessories based on their needs and preferences. * Provide accurate information regarding features, specifications, and pricing of products. * Conduct background checks in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. * Complete sales transactions using our point-of-sale (POS) system and ensure accuracy in all documentation. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of store, including display cases and storage areas. * Educate customers on firearms safety practices, storage options, and maintenance requirements. * Uphold Hebert Guns policies and procedures regarding sales, safety, and customer interactions. * Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and returns in a professional and timely manner. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications: Education and Experience * High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in firearms safety and handling is required. * Prior experience in retail sales, particularly in firearms or outdoor recreation sectors, is advantageous. Skills and Competencies * Proficient knowledge of firearms, ammunition types, and accessories. * Strong understanding of firearm safety practices and regulations. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. * Attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork and transactions. * Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
