Security Company partnered with Laurens Electric is seeking qualified and experienced Sales Reps help grow their commercial security customer base within the Upstate South Carolina service area. Job Title: Commercial Business Development Representative Territory: South Carolina Upstate Region: Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and Union counties. Summary of Position: Provide Commercial Security and Fire Client Sales. Commercial Sales is defined as sales directed toward commercial locations greater than 10,000 square feet or locations that require complex system designs, including, but not limited to intrusion, commercial fire alarm systems, Access Control, and IP Video/CCTV. This position is responsible for generating security and fire installation and recurring revenue from new commercial customers with emphasis on excellent customer service and follow- through. Provide proposals for Security, Fire, IP Video, and Access Control of new and existing clients with installed systems and service repairs. Provide proposals for Fire and Intrusion Monitoring Serve our customers' needs --spoken or unspoken--promptly and with care, even when those needs fall outside your typical responsibilities. Take ownership of the customer experience to ensure their needs are fully met. Deliver exceptional service to the best of your ability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following. *Prospecting: Meet or exceed goals for appointments, presentations, and system designs that are self-generated *Develop a contact database of customers, prospects, and referral agents *Prospect for new Commercial customers that meet Commercial Sales criteria *Qualify commercial opportunities generated by the Company *Schedule appointments to conduct security reviews for prospects allowing for an adequate time investment in each appointment *Establish relationships with current customers to augment services and to increase total installation and recurring revenue *Conduct appropriate number of daily, weekly, and monthly presentations *Design Commercial intrusion security, access control, fire alarm and IP Video/CCTV systems to address customer needs *Complete and process all paperwork related to sales and installations *Collaborate with technical staff to achieve proposals/internals for project turnovers to fulfilled expectations from customer *Perform special projects and other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements (skills): Ability to work independently with little supervision or oversight and maintain the highest integrity related to installation practices. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: *Minimum of two years B2B sales or related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. *Minimum of 2 years' experience with access control, networking, IP camera systems and fire/burglary alarm systems LANGUAGE SKILLS: *Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical manuals and procedures, blueprints, financial policies and pronouncements, and government regulations. *Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence. *Ability to clearly and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups within and outside the Company. TECHNICAL SKILLS: *Strong security experience in a technical environment (fire alarm systems, and/or electronic access, intrusion, camera security systems) *Ability to explain highly technical information to the customer/non-technical people. COMPENSATION: This is a salary plus commission position with exempt status. Annual salary is based on individual skill sets and industry background. All other benefits offered by the company pertain to this position.
