Full description of the position
Key Responsibilities: * Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new potential business opportunities. Analyze industry trends, competitor activities and market conditions to inform strategic decisions. Identify emerging markets and innovative business models to explore new growth avenues. * Lead Generation and Prospecting: Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies to build a robust Pipeline of potential new clients. Utilize various sources, including networking, online research and industry events, to identify and qualify leads. Maintain an updated database of new potential clients and regularly follow up to nurture relationships. (= Pipeline) * Client Relationship Management: Understand clients' needs and requirements to tailor solutions that meet their business objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients, ensuring a seamless onboarding process. * Sales and Business Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business development targets. Present and pitch in-house company products/services to potential clients, Highlighting unique selling points and benefits. Maintain a strong market presence by spending a minimum of 3-4 days per week in the field visiting potential new customers and nurture new business with existing customers. Conduct at least 3 qualified client visits per day to foster relationships and generate new business. This can also include qualitative online meetings (e.g. MS Teams) Attend industry events, trade shows and conferences to network and identify new business opportunities. Assure positive potential new customer Pipeline growth and online Pipeline updates monthly, at the latest on the last day of every month. * Strategic Planning and Execution: Set clear goals and objectives for new business acquisition and ensure alignment with overall company goals. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies and adjust plans as needed. * Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development and operations, to ensure alignment and support. Provide feedback and insights from the market to help shape product development and marketing strategies. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall business development strategy. * Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, progress and outcomes. This includes Meeting Minutes (MoMs) for each visit. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all business development processes and activities. Close cooperation with the Internal Key Account Manager to ensure timely and correct updates of the Pipeline. Use CRM tools to manage and document client interactions and technical support activities. Work Environment: * Primarily field-based with regular travel to meet with customers and prospects. * Occasional attendance at industry events, trade shows and conferences. Reporting Structure: * Reports to the CEO. Performance Metrics: * Turnover as per Target set for the Year. * Operating Result as per Target set for the Year. * Monthly Pipeline Updates. * Monthly Positive Pipeline Growth. * Monthly Customer Visits. * Increase in b&m IP Product Sales. * Revenue Growth with New and Existing Customers. * Revenue Growth from New Markets.
