Team Lead - Sales & Customer Experience Company: Journey Cannabis Co. Location: Chattanooga, TN Pay: $15.00/hour + Commission About the Role Are you a natural leader with a passion for the cannabis and hemp industry? Journey Cannabis Co. is looking for a dynamic Team Lead to join our St. Elmo (Chattanooga) location. You will be the heartbeat of our sales floor, responsible for driving revenue, mentoring our sales associates, and ensuring every customer finds the right product for their personal journey. This is a "player-coach" role where you will lead by example, providing expert product knowledge while overseeing daily shift operations. Key Responsibilities * Drive Sales Excellence: Lead the team to meet and exceed daily sales targets and KPIs to maximize commission opportunities. * Team Mentorship: Train and coach sales associates on product knowledge, upselling techniques, and customer service standards. * Operational Oversight: Manage opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory accuracy. * Customer Education: Provide in-depth consultations on CBD, Delta-8, Delta-9, and other cannabinoids, helping customers navigate our diverse product selection. * Compliance: Ensure all sales and interactions remain 100% compliant with state and local regulations. What We 're Looking For * Experience: Previous supervisory or shift lead experience in a retail or high-volume sales environment. * Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of the cannabis/hemp industry. Previous hemp-specific experience is a major plus! * Communication: Ability to explain complex plant science (terpenes, cannabinoids) in an accessible, friendly way. * Reliability: A proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of the sales floor. * Requirements: Must be 21+ years of age and able to pass required background checks.
