This role is pivotal in expanding our footprint in the commercial construction market by identifying, cultivating, and securing new client relationships while maintaining a strong understanding of preconstruction and project management principles. The ideal candidate will be based in the OKC area and bring experience in both business development and general contracting. Learn more about us at [please apply online] Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial construction market. Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, architects, developers, and industry partners. Represent Burnett Construction at networking events, industry functions, and client meetings. Collaborate with the preconstruction and project management teams to align client needs with service capabilities. Develop marketing strategies and outreach efforts to grow the client base. Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity and business development metrics. Support the development of project proposals, RFQs, and RFPs. Stay current on industry trends and competitor activity. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in business development within the commercial construction industry. Prior experience working with or for a general contractor, preferably in a project management or preconstruction capacity. Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, or related field preferred. Deep understanding of construction processes and the full project lifecycle. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction-related software. Based in or willing to relocate to the Oklahoma City (OKC) area. Professional demeanor with a clean-cut presentation.
