HOUSING CONSULTANT Help Families Build Their Dreams Are you someone who finds deep satisfaction in helping people make life- changing decisions? Tri-Point Homes is seeking a Housing Consultant to join our team in Findlay, Ohio. This isn't just a sales position--it's an opportunity to guide families through one of the most significant purchases of their lives: building their dream home where they'll celebrate holidays, raise children, and create lasting memories. WHAT YOU WILL DO As a Housing Consultant, you'll be the primary guide for families throughout their home-building journey: Build Relationships & Understand Needs * Greet prospects at our model home center and quickly establish trust and rapport * Conduct detailed consultations to understand each family's lifestyle, budget, and dreams * Ask thoughtful, probing questions to uncover what matters most to them Design & Customize Solutions * Use our proprietary Excel-based pricing tools to create accurate payment projections * Guide clients through our collection 600+ customizable floor plans (900-4,000sq ft) * Conduct virtual tours and model home walkthroughs, highlighting features that match their needs * Develop floor plan changes if necessary and exterior elements to meet their lifestyle goals * Develop site plans and work with clients on customization options Navigate the Process * Explain our complete building process from initial consultation through final walk-through * Work with our CRM (Follow Up Boss) to track client interactions and next steps * Coordinate with our financing team, project managers, and construction crews * Present detailed quotes and guide clients through contingent purchase agreements Celebrate Milestones * Visit client homes for post set celebrations and key turnover * Follow up throughout the construction process to ensure client satisfaction * Build long-term relationships that result in referrals and repeat business WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE SPECIAL You're Helping, Not Just Selling This isn't about pushing a product. You're helping families achieve homeownership, often for the first time. You'll work with people who have experienced house fires, outgrown their existing home, or simply want to stop building someone else's equity. Focus on serving clients and building relationships, not hunting for business. We provide the leads--you provide the expertise and care. Comprehensive Training & Support We invest heavily in your success. For your first 3 months, you'll work directly with our Sales Trainer, learning our process through hands-on experience. Your trainer continues supporting you for the next 6-12 months as you gain independence. This isn't "sink or swim"--we want you to thrive. Transparent Process, No Surprises Unlike traditional construction where costs balloon and timelines slip, our system-built homes offer guaranteed pricing and completion dates. You won't have to make excuses or manage unrealistic expectations. Our process works, and that makes your job easier. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE We're looking for someone with these characteristics (you don't need all of them, but this gives you a picture of who thrives here): Character & Integrity * Genuine, trustworthy, and conscientious * Honest in every interaction (we don't believe in manipulative sales tactics) * Humble and self-aware, with high emotional intelligence * Stable, resolute, and able to handle rejection without taking it personally People & Communication Skills * Personable, charming, and naturally relatable * Excellent listener who makes people feel heard and understood * Can communicate complex information clearly * Builds rapport quickly and nurtures long-term client relationships Thinking & Problem-Solving * Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits * Methodical planner who thinks ahead * Comfortable with math and financial calculations * Curious and asks great questions * Can read blueprints or learn to (we'll teach you) * Spatial awareness of room sizes and how floor plans translate to 3 dimensions Professional Skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) * Computer-savvy and comfortable learning new software * Experience with CRM systems is a plus * Strong time management and ability to juggle multiple clients * AI Interest and skills a plus Drive & Adaptability * Self-starter with high initiative * Coachable with a continuous learning mindset (Kaizen) * Optimistic, enthusiastic, and able to stay motivated during any slow periods * Flexible and adaptable when priorities shift * Patient with delayed gratification (commission-based earnings) Practical Requirements * Available to work Saturdays (we're closed Sundays) * Occasional evening flexibility when clients need it for a scheduled meeting * Belief in the value of homeownership and quality construction Experience & Education Preferred: * Previous sales experience, especially B2C with higher-ticket items ($20K+) * Successful backgrounds may include insurance, real estate, furniture, water treatment, pharmaceuticals, property leasing, and other consultative sales roles where you've built relationships and guided clients through complex decisions * College degree preferred but NOT required--we care more about character and capability We'll Consider: * Entry-level candidates with the right attitude and personality * Career changers who are motivated to learn * Experienced salespeople looking for more meaningful work Don't have housing or construction experience? That's perfectly fine. We'll teach you everything you need to know about modular homes, construction processes, and financing. What we can't teach is integrity, empathy, and the desire to help people. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Earning Structure: * Base salary + Draw + Commission * Rapid Bonuses for Each New Contract Deposit, and Other Appointment Milestones * Average commission per home: $8,500 * First-year realistic earnings: $50,000 - $75,000 * Career potential: $50,000 - $150,000+ * Paid Vacation and Holidays * Additional Company Bonus you may optionally use towards Health Care coverage Your earnings grow as your skills develop and your client base expands through referrals and repeat business.
