Overview
The Inside Sales Specialist manages global distributors and high-value accounts. This role supports distributors, international customers, mining operations, and partners requiring specialized pricing, or technical coordination. The Specialist serves as the department's technical and operational expert and frequently collaborates with Sales, Production, Engineering, and Quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer- centric approach, and experience with CRM software and technology sales. Responsibilities
- Handle complex or non-standard orders requiring special pricing, export documentation, lead-time coordination, or technical documentation.
- Act as the primary resource for urgent orders, large accounts, distributor inquiries, and situations with operational impact.
- Resolve escalated order or shipment issues before they reach the Customer Service Manager.
- Support inside sales functions, such as preparing quotes, reviewing purchase orders, and coordinating custom/industry specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate ERP data on pricing, customer profiles, lead times, certifications, and product configurations.
- Work with Production Planning to understand availability, build timelines, or constraints impacting fulfillment.
- Assist with training and mentoring the Sr. Customer Service Specialist.
- Monitor backorders, regulatory documentation needs, and inventory and proactively communicate with customers and Sales.
- Contribute to process improvements and SOP updates. Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Communications or related field
- 5+ years in inside sales, order management, customer service, or technical support in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Proven experience in inside sales, B2B sales, or technology sales with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Experience handling complex orders or distributor accounts.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies related to inside sales and lead generation
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Demonstrated business development skills with a focus on expanding market reach and building long-term client relationships INTER-RELATIONSHIPS Ability to communicate effectively with all employees within the company. Frequent contact with outside vendors, suppliers, and visitors. WORKING CONDITIONS Rotating schedule: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Monday through Friday. Must be able to work overtime and other shifts as needed. Overtime may be mandatory. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
