Director of Sales and MarketingDuquesne, PA Full Time Sales Are you an excellent leader seeking a dynamic, results-oriented role? Do you enjoy personal interactions and finding opportunities? If so, this could be the position for you! Angstrom Sciences is looking for a Director of Sales and Marketing to manage our sales team. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-confident, extroverted individual to fill this fast-paced role developing customer relationships that will lead to consistent sales growth. Since our founding in 1988, Angstrom Sciences has been dedicated to the design and manufacture of advanced magnetron sputtering cathodes for both industrial and research customers around the world. Our cathodes are used to manufacture many high-technology products including smart phones, microelectronics, flat panel TV's, and thin film solar cells. Top-level management welcomes and encourages opinions and ideas from all employees. We value hard work, dedication, and imagination. What does a Director of Sales and Marketing do? The Director of Sales and Marketing will maintain and execute all sales activities providing direct support in cooperation with internal sales specialists and the field sales representative network. What are the essential functions for the position? Manages sales activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors: * Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals. * Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. * Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates. * Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. * Represents company at industry trade shows to promote product. * Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives. * Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. * Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related departments. * Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements. * Assists other departments with organization to prepare manuals and technical publications. * Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and area of proposed client base expansion. * Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition. * Plans, supervises, and executes the key tasks of business expansion plan. * Obtains all information needed to make a business case for a new opportunity. * Effectively understands and responds to customer objections. * Develop detailed opportunity data by assisting with the identification of key players and decision makers and input into CRM. * Obtains initial application information including, but not limited to process details and configuration. * Provides internal sales support for in territory representatives. What does it take to be a successful Director of Sales and Marketing? * Ability to clearly communicate with people at all levels of an organization, excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent objection handling and negotiating abilities. * Ability to organize and self-manage workload around defined project goals. * High level of computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and CRM. * Good organization skills; focused on attention to detail and accuracy. * Well-developed interpersonal skills; able to build relationships quickly. * Creative problem solver who is resourceful and flexible. * Strategic thinker with tactical/execution capabilities. * Tenacious with the ability to get job done under any circumstances. * Uncompromising business ethics and integrity. * Very self-directed. What are the minimum qualifications for the position? * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. * Five years of related experience and/or training, preferred. * Must be eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship not available. * Willingness to travel approximately 15%. * Experience in PVD Technology/ technical sales helpful * Current References.
