Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with POS systems, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. The Cashier plays a vital role in maintaining efficient store operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties * Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately * Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service * Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity * Assist customers with product questions and provide product demos when applicable * Upsell items and promote store promotions to increase sales * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area * Stock shelves and assist with merchandising to ensure attractive product displays * Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves and organizing products * Ensure proper phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone * Supervise or assist in supervising other team members during shifts as needed * Support in conducting product demos and promotional activities Experience * Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided * Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math is advantageous * Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele effectively * Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service experience, are essential * Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership roles within the team * Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments will be beneficial This position offers an engaging work environment where excellent communication, sales skills, and customer service are valued.
