Septic and Wastewater Account Manager Company: A Advanced Septic and Construction Services Location: Auburn, WA Employment Type: Full-time Reports To: Sales Manager Pay: $60,000 - $70,000 base + commission (tiered rates based on base pay)
Position Summary
A-Advanced Septic and Construction Services is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Septic & Wastewater Account Manager to join our team in Auburn, WA. This role is responsible for managing residential and commercial wastewater accounts, assessing system needs, and providing long-term, compliant solutions. The Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor to customers, coordinating inspections, developing accurate scopes and estimates, and ensuring solutions are aligned with system health, regulatory requirements, and customer goals. This is a solutions-focused, relationship-driven role, not a high-pressure sales position.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Customer Relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned residential and commercial wastewater accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, mobile home park managers, property managers, and commercial clients
- Act as a long-term advisor by understanding each customer's system, usage, and maintenance needs
- Educate customers on system health, preventative maintenance, and lifecycle planning System Evaluation & Solution Development
- Conduct site walks and visual inspections to assess septic and wastewater system conditions
- Identify system risks, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Develop clear, accurate, and detailed estimates based on inspection findings
- Present solution-based recommendations that prioritize safety, compliance, and long-term performance Account Support & Follow-Through
- Track, manage, and follow through on all assigned accounts using internal systems
- Coordinate closely with technicians, construction teams, and office staff to ensure smooth execution
- Support project handoff, scheduling, and post-service follow-up
- Ensure customer expectations are met throughout the lifecycle of service Account Growth & Outreach (Non-Transactional)
- Grow existing accounts through trust, service quality, and proactive system management
- Support community outreach, local events, and industry functions as a company representative
- Assist with inbound leads and referrals tied to account relationships
Qualifications
- Experience in account management B2B and B2C, or consultative sales
- Comfortable working in outdoor field environments
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Self-motivated and organized
- 3 years of verifiable driving experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean MVR
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Experience with home service(s) sales, i.e., Septic, Plumbing, HVAC, Restoration, Roofing, Hydro Excavation
- CRM or service management software experience
