Sales Manager - Commercial & Residential Construction

Compensation

: Base salary $60,000 with potential to earn up to $200,000 through commission and performance bonuses.

Overview

The Sales Manager drives revenue growth across both commercial and residential construction markets. This role requires strong industry relationships, a deep understanding of construction project cycles, and the ability to lead a high- performing sales team. The compensation structure rewards proactive business development and consistent performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and executing sales strategies for commercial and residential markets
• Building and maintaining relationships with GCs, subcontractors, architects, developers, and homeowners
• Leading, coaching, and motivating the sales team to achieve revenue targets
• Reviewing bid opportunities and coordinating proposals for both market segments
• Identifying upcoming construction projects through research and industry networking
• Managing key accounts and high-value negotiations
• Collaborating with estimating, operations, and project management teams to ensure accurate pricing and delivery
• Overseeing CRM usage and pipeline accuracy across all project types
• Representing the company at trade shows and industry events

Required Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of construction sales experience (materials, equipment, services, or contracting)
• Strong understanding of commercial and residential project cycles
• Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting
• Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets Preferred Attributes
• Knowledge of local building codes and construction practices
• Ability to manage long commercial sales cycles
• Strong communication skills for both technical and homeowner audiences
