Event Coordinator - Blue Zoo Interactive Aquarium Location: Multiple Employment Type: Full-time Schedule: Flexible, including some evenings and weekends for events About Blue Zoo Interactive Aquarium At Blue Zoo, we make magic happen every day! About the Role: As our Event Coordinator, you'll be the creative force behind unforgettable experiences that bring the wonder of Blue Zoo to life for groups of all kinds. From birthday parties where kids get to feed stingrays, to field trips that inspire young minds, to unique corporate events that leave lasting impressions - you'll make it all happen! This role combines your passion for exceptional guest experiences with your talent for organization and sales. Event Sales & Lead Generation Own the event sales pipeline by proactively contacting businesses, schools, homeschoolgroups, sororities, camps, and other potential clients Develop and implement effective bidding strategies for events to secure new business Track leads, follow up consistently, and close sales to maximize revenue Build relationships with potential clients by clearly communicating the unique value of Blue Zoo events Research and identify new client opportunities to expand our event business Show up for your team by consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets 2. Event Planning & Execution Design, coordinate, and execute engaging field trips, parties, summer camps, and specialty events Create memorable event experiences that align perfectly with Blue Zoo's brand and mission Develop new party theme options that showcase our unique animal interactions Build field trip tour curriculum that balances education and entertainment Plan and implement summer camp programs that create lasting memories Collaborate with specialty event catering companies and decor providers Ensure smooth transitions between planning and on-site execution with location managers 3. Customer Experience & Engagement Provide exceptional, interactive guest experiences that create those "wow" moments Ensure all events align with Blue Zoo's mission of intimate engagement with animals Communicate event details and expectations clearly with clients before, during, and after events Create and send thank you messages and follow-up communications Build strong relationships with clients to encourage positive reviews and repeat business Maintain flexibility to attend before/after hour events to ensure flawless execution Do the right thing for every client, addressing concerns quickly and finding creative solutions 4. Marketing & Promotion Support Work with the marketing team to develop engaging event content (photos, videos, testimonials) Collect and share content that showcases the unique aspects of different types of events Plan and coordinate timely social media posts to increase brand awareness and future bookings, per the social media team Create email templates for events that effectively communicate our offerings Contribute to promotional strategies that highlight our unique animal interactions Bring enthusiasm and creativity to marketing efforts that showcase the Blue Zoo experience 5.
