Position Title: Applications Engineer Department: Applications Engineering Reports To: Vice President, Research & Development Tier Level: 35 FLSA Status: Exempt Education * Bachelor's degree in Engineering required. Experience * One to four years of relevant experience preferred, but not required. * Proficiency with standard business and engineering software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD systems) preferred. Physical & Work Environment Requirements * Ability to work at a computer for extended periods. * Frequent movement within a manufacturing environment, including access to production equipment. * Regular use of fine motor skills to assemble prototypes and perform detailed work. * Sustained near-visual acuity required to inspect small components, measurements, and defects. * Clear verbal and written communication skills to exchange accurate information. * Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Essential Functions * Interpret and apply customer specifications and technical drawings. * Design and develop products within established manufacturing and technical capabilities. * Prepare and provide pricing for development and production-level projects. * Support customer engagement efforts, including participation in trade shows and on-site customer visits as needed. * Coordinate and manage research and development projects from concept through execution. * Adhere to and maintain established procedures and quality standards. * Develop and document processes, work instructions, and labor hour records for new products and methods. * Train and support production operators to ensure proper assembly techniques and competency.
