Full description of the position
Overview : We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of logistics sales experience within customs brokerage and freight forwarding , highly skilled in business development, and customer relationship management. This position will collaborate closely with sales teams to identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and foster lasting client relationships. Responsibilities * Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to meet their logistics needs and provide solutions that ensure satisfaction and retention. * Collaborate with sales teams to create effective strategies for lead generation and conversion. * Negotiate contracts and agreements with potential clients to secure profitable partnerships. * Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth. * Present customs brokerage, freight forwarding, and all company services to prospective clients. Qualifications * 8+ years of sales experience within customs brokerage / freight forwarding industry. * Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry. * Knowledgeable in freight pricing, shipping routes, international logistics -Ocean (80%) & Air (20%), and global trade challenges. * Customs brokerage knowledge and understanding of regulations and requirements. * A proven track record of finding and closing new business deals. * Analytical mindset with financial acumen and project management capabilities. * Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills. * Proficiency in customer relationship management practices, driven, and results oriented. * Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet department goals of finding and closing new business deals. * Experience using software tools for sales tracking and reporting (CRM).
