Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Countertop & Solid Surface Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the key driver in connecting clients with high-quality countertop solutions, specializing in solid surface materials such as quartz, granite, marble, and engineered surfaces. Pay & Benefits Base Pay Range: $52,000 This is a guaranteed base salary for full-time hours (40 hours/week). Plus Commission: Performance-based commission on top of base pay -- uncapped earning potential! Strong performers can significantly increase total earnings (e.g., realistic first-year total compensation often reaches$70,00- $80,000+ with commissions, depending on sales/results). Responsibilities * Engage with clients to understand their countertop needs, preferences, and project scope, providing expert guidance on material options and design possibilities. * Prepare detailed estimates and proposals using construction management and estimating tools, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. * Collaborate with fabricators, contractors, and project managers to coordinate the seamless installation of countertops and solid surfaces. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise fabrication and installation. * Assist in the selection of appropriate materials by evaluating samples, specifications, and technical data sheets. * Greet and assist walk-in clients and scheduled showroom visitors in selecting materials and designing custom stone surfaces * Conduct consultations, review project details, and prepare quotes for countertops and solid surfaces * Answer phones, respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, and coordinate with the team * Build and maintain relationships with contractors, architects, designers, and homeowners * Support occasional outside sales efforts, such as site visits or client follow-ups when needed Ideal Candidate Traits We're looking for someone who thrives in a client-focused, team-oriented environment: * Personable - Warm, approachable, and skilled at building genuine relationships with clients and colleagues * Organized - Excellent at managing multiple projects, client files, timelines, and follow-ups without missing details * Team player - Collaborative and eager to work closely with designers, fabricators, installers, and the rest of the team * Flexible - Adaptable to varying showroom demands, occasional outside tasks, and the fast-paced nature of custom projects Qualifications * Proven experience in sales within the construction or remodeling industry; familiarity with countertop fabrication or solid surface products is required. * Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, concrete forming, masonry, carpentry (including frame carpentry), roofing, plastering, stucco, flooring installation, tile laying, welding, drywall finishing, and related construction disciplines. * Proficiency with Stone profits, builder trend or similar digital markup tools for plan review and collaboration. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly to clients and team members alike. * Small business experience a plus. Valid knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to countertop installations or remodeling projects is advantageous.
