Full description of the position
The Surgical & Aesthetic Clinical Specialist is a dual sales and clinical- facing role responsible for driving revenue growth across both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic services. This position focuses on high-quality consultations, personalized treatment planning, and consistent follow-up while supporting an exceptional patient experience. This role requires strong sales acumen, confident communication, and the ability to guide patients through the full aesthetic and surgical journey -- from initial consultation through treatment, post-procedure care, and ongoing retention. The Specialist will educate patients on available surgical and aesthetic options, support clinical treatments as appropriate, promote all practice services, and contribute to overall practice growth. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Consultations & Sales Conversion * Conduct thorough patient consultations using a needs-based, consultative sales approach for surgical and aesthetic services. * Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient goals, clinical recommendations, and optimal outcomes. * Confidently present pricing, review financing options, and close recommended treatment plans. * Meet or exceed consultation-to-procedure conversion goals. * Cross-sell and upsell complementary surgical and aesthetic services where appropriate. 2. Clinical & Treatment Support * Support the delivery of non-surgical aesthetic treatments and assist with surgical patient coordination in accordance with provider direction and practice protocols. * Confirm treatment areas, expectations, pricing, and informed consent prior to procedures. * Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment. * Ensure a supportive, professional patient experience throughout the treatment and recovery process. 3. Patient Journey, Retention & Follow-Up * Manage the full patient journey: pre-consultation, consultation, treatment or surgery, follow-up, and rebooking. * Execute follow-up strategies to reduce cancellations, increase retention, and maximize lifetime patient value. * Maintain accurate charting, intake forms, treatment notes, and before/after photos. * Conduct post-treatment check-ins to reinforce trust and patient satisfaction. * Review results with patients and recommend next-step or maintenance treatments. 4. Practice Growth & Marketing Support * Collaborate with leadership and marketing to create educational content, photos, and videos related to surgical and aesthetic services. * Participate in promotions, patient events, referral programs, and seasonal campaigns. * Stay current on vendor promotions, incentives, rebates, and product education. * Assist in developing workflows, protocols, and sales scripts to support program growth across all service lines. 5. Operational Excellence & Team Collaboration * Build invoices, confirm correct charges, and assist with checkout as needed. * Maintain accurate inventory tracking, expiration dates, and supply management. * Assist in training new team members on services, workflows, and sales processes. * Communicate regularly with leadership regarding metrics, goals, and performance.
