Driven Outside Sales Representative Roofing Sales | Relationship & Networking Driven This is not a desk job. If you want leads handed to you, stay inside, or avoid face-to-face work--this will not work for you. If you like being in the field, building real relationships, and running a repeatable sales system that compounds over time, keep reading. The Opportunity (Read This Carefully) This role is for someone who wants to build their own pipeline through relationships--not chase random leads forever. You'll spend your time:
- In neighborhoods
- On jobsites
- At coffees, lunches, and networking events
- Inspecting properties
- Meeting homeowners and referral partners face-to-face The goal is simple: Build long-term referral relationships so inspections and opportunities come to you consistently. This Role Is Hands-On You will be:
- In the field daily
- Climbing ladders
- Walking roofs
- Visiting jobsites
- Talking with customers in person If you're not comfortable with outdoor work, inspections, or face-to-face selling, this is not the role.
Compensation
(Straight Talk) This is a performance-based role with real upside.
- Top performers must earn strong income because they control activity, relationships, and execution.
- A 3-month guaranteed compensation / draw may be available for qualified candidates to help you ramp.
- Income grows as your referral network grows. This is not hourly. This is not passive. Results matter. What Winning Looks Like You're succeeding when you consistently:
- Keep a full weekly calendar of inspections and field appointments
- Generate networking-driven leads (not waiting on marketing)
- Build active referral partners (B2C + B2B)
- Create short, simple field content that builds trust
- Log clean notes and handoffs in CRM (nothing lives only in your head)
- Hit weekly scorecard expectations This role is scorecarded and reviewed weekly. How You Work You follow a system. You will:
- Run daily networking blocks when inspections are light
- Execute structured drop-ins, coffees, lunches, and events
- Conduct professional property inspections
- Use a defined inspection and closing framework
- Present findings clearly with photos and reports
- Ask for the business when appropriate
- Hand off follow-up and admin to Inside Sales
- Document everything in CRM You create activity. The system multiplies it. Who You Build Relationships With You'll actively develop partnerships with:
- Homeowners
- Property managers
- Realtors
- Insurance professionals
- Attorneys
- HOAs, churches, apartments, commercial properties
- Other trades and service providers
- Local networking groups (BNI or similar) Your job is to lead with value and consistency. Inspection & Closing Ownership Once an appointment is set, you own the outcome. You will:
- Run clean, documented inspections
- Explain findings in plain language
- Adapt presentations to the situation
- Handle objections professionally
- Ask for the business with confidence
- Set clear next steps when a customer isn't ready This is where deals are won or lost. Non-Negotiables This role is NOT for you if:
