Position Summary We are seeking a Hotel & Conference Center Group Sales Manager to drive group business for Delta Hotels by Marriott Midwest City at the Reed Conference Center. This role is responsible for proactively identifying and closing group opportunities, responding to inbound RFPs, negotiating and contracting, and coordinating details from turnover through execution in partnership with hotel operations and the conference/events team. This position is ideal for a sales professional who is organized, competitive in a healthy way, and confident working the full sales cycle - prospecting to close to service support - while protecting guest experience and profitability. Key Responsibilities Sales & Account Development * Solicit and secure group business (corporate, association, government, SMERF, and social where applicable) to achieve monthly/quarterly production goals. * Build and maintain a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, lead follow-up, networking, and strategic account planning. * Develop relationships with local and regional meeting planners and key decision makers; maintain consistent sales cadence. RFP Management, Contracting & Revenue Focus * Respond to inbound group RFPs quickly and professionally; present compelling proposals that align with hotel strategy. * Negotiate rates, concessions, cut-off dates, attrition/cancellation terms, and meeting space commitments in coordination with leadership. * Maintain accurate forecasting, production reporting, and activity tracking in required systems/CRM. Event Turnover & Execution Support * Lead effective turnover to operations, ensuring accurate details for room blocks, meeting space, and key group requirements. * Partner with the conference/events team and hotel departments to support successful execution and repeat business. * Conduct site tours and client meetings; represent the hotel professionally in the community. Guest Experience & Brand Standards * Protect service delivery by setting accurate expectations, communicating clearly, and escalating issues early. * Support guest satisfaction initiatives and continuous improvement as part of the hotel's leadership culture. Qualifications Required * 2+ years of hotel sales experience with a focus on group sales (or equivalent group/event sales experience in hospitality). * Proven success closing business and meeting/exceeding sales goals. * Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. * Highly organized with strong follow-through; able to manage multiple accounts/events concurrently. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); comfort using CRM/sales systems. Preferred * Experience selling for a full-service hotel and/or conference center environment. * Familiarity with Marriott brand sales tools/systems (where applicable). * Local market knowledge and existing planner relationships.
