Job Overview The Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business growth, establishing and nurturing relationships with key decision makers, and creating market penetration strategies for our new manufacturing product lines within your assigned region. Your focus will include identifying high-potential prospects, securing pilot projects or proof-of-concept opportunities, and ultimately closing revenue-generating contracts. You will serve as a strategic partner to engineers, operations, executive leadership and Design decision makers to align product offerings with customer needs. Responsibilities 1. Business Development & Pipeline Generation * Identify and qualify new leads, prospects, and target accounts in your region. * Build, maintain, and expand relationships with key stakeholders in target firms. * Execute outreach campaigns, attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads. 2. Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence * Conduct competitive and market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings. * Develop region-specific growth strategies, sales plans, and forecasted targets. * Provide feedback to product management / R&D on market requirements and feature gaps. 3. Sales / Deal Execution * Lead the complete sales cycle: proposals, presentations, negotiations, closing. * Work with internal teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to structure deals, ensure deliverables, and manage customer expectations. * Support contract development, pricing models, discounting strategy, and margin maintenance. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Liaise with marketing, product development, and operations to coordinate product launches, pilot programs, and demonstrations. * Provide regular updates and insights into region performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership. 5. KPIs & Reporting * Meet or exceed sales / revenue targets, new customer acquisition goals. * Maintain customer records (e.g. leads, contacts, forecasts). * Produce periodic regional business reviews, action plans, and forecasts. 6. Travel / Representation * Travel within your region (and occasionally beyond) for customer visits, trade shows, technical reviews, pilot installs, etc. * Represent the company professionally and credibly in all customer interactions. * Support existing customers in the region if it is necessary. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree (Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field). * 5+ years of B2B sales, business development, or technical sales experience, ideally in manufacturing, industrial, or related sectors. * Proven track record of generating new business and closing deals involving complex solutions or capital equipment. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Strong technical aptitude, ability to engage with engineering / technical stakeholders. * Self-starter who can work independently in a remote environment. * Willingness and ability to travel frequently. * Comfortable using sales tools, proposal software, and financial modeling. * Ability to synthesize market data and customer feedback into strategic recommendations. Preferred: * Prior experience in printing industry. * Experience in international business development. Work Environment: This is a remote-based position requiring a high degree of independence, organization, and communication. The Regional Business Development Manager will work primarily from a home office and travel regularly to visit customers, attend trade shows, and support company initiatives within the assigned region. The role involves frequent collaboration with internal teams including sales, marketing, and operations through virtual meetings and digital communication tools. Occasional visits to company headquarters may be required for training, strategy sessions, or product launches.
