Full description of the position
* This job is in HAWAI'I, on O'AHU Sprouts Therapy, a therapist-owned pediatric outpatient clinic in Oahu, Hawaii, is hiring a Full-Time or Part-Time Pediatric Occupational Therapist. We welcome applications from passionate OTs nationwide who are ready to relocate to paradise and grow their career in a sensory-rich, play-based, multidisciplinary clinic. Relocation assistance of $1,000 is available for off-island candidates, or $1,000 sign-on bonus for therapists already on- island. Some exciting opportunities within our team: Full-Time Position: * Occupational Therapist (Locations: In-Clinic, Aqua & Home Health) Trained Feeding Therapist can integrate feeding sessions into schedule. * Schedule: Minimum of 26 hours of available treatment sessions/week and one initial evaluation per month (unfilled cancellations to be used for doc time/evaluation write-ups), progress reports and re-evaluations as required Part-Time Positions (Flexible, built around therapist availability): * Occupational Therapist (Location: In-Clinic, Aqua, Home Visits) * Feeding Occupational Therapist (Location: In-Clinic, Oahu, Remote) Benefits: Employees working over 20 hours: * Yearly $1000 Continuing Education Reimbursement - prorated first year based on hire date Employees full- time working over 26 hours: * Yearly $1000 Continuing Education Reimbursement - prorated first year based on hire date * Off-island candidates can receive $1000 in relocation expenses, or on-island candidates can receive a sign-on bonus $1k * Group Health & Vision Insurance - Fully paid by Employer * Initial application for Hawaii License paid by Employer Why Therapists Thrive at Sprouts Therapy: At Sprouts Therapy, we prioritize your time treating children, not managing paperwork. Our robust administrative team handles scheduling, billing, client intake, and cleanup, with support from two full-time Schedule Coordinators, a Billing Specialist, a New Client Coordinator, a Grounds Manager with assistants, and therapy student volunteers. Here's what sets us apart: * Full-Time Schedule Coordinators (pre-builds caseload for new hires, fills cancellations when able, communicates directly with clients regarding all schedule needs, manages therapists' schedule requests, contacts families when the therapist is out) * Full-Time Insurance Billing Specialist(provides guidance on insurance billing and coding and submits all authorizations and claims to insurance companies) * New Client Coordinator (sends families initial intake paperwork and completes setup of services) * Grounds Manager/Assistants (cleaning and maintenance, including setup and cleanup of feeding sessions) * Therapy Student Volunteers!!! (therapy students trained in disinfecting and clean-up procedures and are available to lend an extra hand when needed) Clinic Space/Equipment * Specialized Treatment Rooms - individual treatment rooms for varied client needs * Outdoor Therapy Space : AstroTurf surface, shaded swings, playground with climbing structures and slides, bikes with pathways, and outdoor games to enhance motor skills, strength, and coordination * On-Site Kitchen - stainless steel counters and professional-grade appliances for feeding therapy * Fully Stocked with Therapeutic Tools - Extensive variety of equipment/supplies with dedicated craft closet, slime cabinet, various swings, gross motor equipment, game closet * Comprehensive Assessment Tools - Extensive variety of assessments * Therapist Resource Budget- Annual budget to purchase additional therapist-requested materials Unique Therapy Locations * Pool Setting (Kahala and Hawaii Kai) : Our pools provide an ideal aquatic therapy environment, leveraging buoyancy, viscosity, hydrostatic pressure, and warm water to enhance strength, balance, sensory comfort, circulation, and motivation in a fun setting. * Home Health : Sprouts offers home health sessions within a specific territory, allowing therapists to work in a child's natural environment, observe authentic behaviors, and create customized programs using household items for seamless learning and adaptation. Therapy Team * Integrated Multidisciplinary Team - Multidisciplinary team with co-treatments promoting collaboration * Weekly Clinical Meetings - whole-team and individual-discipline meetings for case discussions and continuing education * Dedicated OT Team Lead - providing one-on-one mentorship/individual training, documentation support, progress/re-evaluation report tracking, and scheduling for team * In-Session Mentorship with Clinic Owner - one-to-one mentorship through treatment demonstrations with the clinic owner, as requested * Team Approach- The OT team often shares clients who come multiple times a week to allow for treatment collaboration and shared responsibility. Full-time staff have multiple options for their work days, offering both structure and flexibility. * Therapy Hours- Extensive client waitlist for the clinic, guarantee of therapy hours * Observation time- you'll receive dedicated observation time tailored to your comfort level and experience--ensuring a smooth, supported transition into your caseload * Team-Based Evaluations - Initial evaluations are scheduled with two occupational therapists (one leading the evaluation and one assisting with evaluation administration). * Structured Evaluation Training - opportunity to observe and assist in client evaluations prior to leading evaluations.
