Malama Market Haleiwa is now hiring a full-time Grocery Manager to join our growing team! JOB DESCRIPTION: The Grocery Manager is responsible for working with the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Managers and Department Managers as part of the management team. The Grocery Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Grocery Department, overseeing the functioning of supporting equipment, and all duties of department associates. Responsibilities include staffing, training, scheduling, inventory control, equipment maintenance, loss prevention, growing sales and enhancing product ability by offering unique, high quality products in an inviting, customer oriented environment. Grocery Managers are also responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout the store. This includes growing sales, enhancing profitability, providing World Class Service, offering unique, high quality products in an inviting, customized environment and building strong relationships with all associates where our customers are the top priority. A Grocery Manager is a role model and leader and must solve problems, make informed decisions and manage the department wisely in order to achieve maximum results. The Grocery Manager is responsible for directing and monitoring store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager(s). QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or GED; or equivalent. * Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills * Must be able to operate computerized systems. * Previous experience in the grocery industry preferred. * Previous managerial experience preferred. * Must be able to lift, maneuver and/or carry 75 pounds, at, above and below waist level. * Must comply with all company policies and requirements including the COVID-19 vaccination policy. * Must possess a valid TB Clearance.
