Commerical Construction Project Manager Ausonio Incorporated- Castroville, CA HIRING FOR JOB LOCATED IN Monterey County, Santa Cruz County Location: Castroville, CA (We Build in Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties) Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000/year + bonus opportunities Job Type: Full-time | Schedule: M-F, Build With Purpose at Ausonio At Ausonio, we're not just constructing buildings, we're shaping the communities we call home. We're growing and looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex builds from concept to completion. This is a role for a relational leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment, builds trust with clients, and develops high-performing teams. What You 'll Do Preconstruction & Pursuits * Manage project development from early planning through permitting. * Build client trust and align stakeholder needs with practical outcomes. * Lead competitive bid efforts--job walks, takeoffs, self-perform pricing, subcontractor bid review, and estimate prep. * Support go/no-go analysis with company leadership. Construction Leadership * Manage all phases of construction in partnership with Superintendents and Project Engineers. * Lead field mobilization, scheduling, and subcontractor execution. * Coordinate with clients and design teams to ensure alignment, cost control, and quality assurance. * Oversee documentation, issue tracking, and communication workflows. Schedule & Cost Control * Create and maintain realistic, responsive project schedules from start to finish. * Lead cost management efforts: budgeting, forecasting, change orders, value engineering. * Review and approve subcontractor, vendor, and consultant invoices. Client Experience * Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients, architects, engineers, and consultants. * Ensure project success through proactive issue resolution and clear communication. * Represent Ausonio with professionalism to foster long-term relationships and future work. Team & Culture * Mentor and supervise Assistant PMs, Project Engineers, and field support staff. * Uphold Ausonio's safety culture in all field operations. * Contribute to company marketing, proposals, and business development as needed. What You Bring * Experience: 10+ years in commercial or public-sector construction management, including 5+ years managing APMs or PEs. * Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience. * Technical Tools: Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, Intacct, Microsoft Project. * Leadership: Strong team-builder and communicator who leads by example and holds high standards. * Detail Orientation: Skilled in contracts, compliance, schedules, and budget accuracy. * Client Mindset: Relational, responsive, and solution focused. * Knowledge of modern construction management tools and software, including Procore, Sage, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project What We Offer * Base Pay: $120,000-$150,000/year * Performance-Based Bonuses * Comprehensive Benefits Package: * Medical, dental, vision insurance * Health savings account (HSA) * Life and disability insurance * 401(k) with company match * Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays * Career Growth: Leadership exposure, direct access to company executives, mentorship opportunities. * Team Culture: Collaborative, mission-driven, and rooted in community service.
