Coordinate the subcontracting of outside refiners processing Metalor material. Follows requirements in accordance with departmental protocol and inventory control standards as set forth by management. REQUIREMENTS * Knowledge - Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent preferred. Education can be substituted with equivalent years of working in the metals industry. Knowledge of precious metal properties and characteristics of precious metal bearing products and byproducts. A fundamental understanding of inventory control practices associated with precious metals is a plus. * Skill - Effective verbal and written communication skills; strong computer and business software skills ( MS Office, SAP); demonstrated proficiency in math; proven ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work in tight deadline driven environment; ability to work independently, take initiative, and execute good judgment skills. * Experience - Minimum of 2 years' experience in a fast pace industrial work environment. Experience in the precious metal industry preferred. * Technical -Working knowledge of SAP with critical thinking skills to troubleshoot operational errors; Ability to learn and use company specific software packages; Ability to use measuring devices requiring interpretation; Ability to use manual and powered material handling equipment DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Follow all OSHA and Metalor safety rules and regulations. * Prioritize daily operations based on Metalor production needs, customer demands, and minimizing metal lease for material destined for OSR. * Responsible for managing all aspects of sending Metalor material to outside refiners. This includes but not limited to refining term negotiations, blend assigning, blend assembly, shipment scheduling, assay exchange, lot settlement/sales order closure, and proper inventory tracking through SAP. * Communicate with management of upcoming refining charges to ensure finances are properly accrued * Responsible for maintaining the Metalor Refining USA exposure sheet and stay within exposure limits for each outside refiner. * Minimize metal leasing cost by sending out material destined for outside refining and closing sales orders in a timely fashion * Assist manager in efforts of continuous improvement to increase department's productivity and safety * Must be able to lift 60 pounds and move a minimum of 100 pounds using manual material handling equipment. * Must be able to function in an environment where exposure to undesirable elements such as noise, dirt or fumes (10% of the time). * Perform a variety of materials handling requirements using barrel trucks, pallet trucks or forklifts. * Prepare reports on an as-needed basis * Other duties as required Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour Ability to Commute: * Attleboro Falls, MA 02763 (Required) Work Location: In person
