Position Summary The General Manager (Spa Director) leads boutique operations and embodies The NOW's commitment to exceptional guest experience and team culture. This role is responsible for the leadership, development, and performance of both Experience Guides and Massage Therapists, ensuring every guest leaves feeling relaxed, refreshed, and restored. You'll drive financial success, operational excellence, and team engagement while fostering a culture rooted in accountability, empathy, and continuous growth. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Culture * Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Experience Guides and Massage Therapists. * Cultivate a positive, collaborative workplace culture that emphasizes guest care, accountability, and growth. * Model The NOW values -- professionalism, mindfulness, and consistency -- in every interaction. Guest Experience * Champion the delivery of exceptional guest service through daily operations and team engagement. * Respond promptly and empathetically to guest inquiries or concerns, ensuring timely resolutions. * Maintain boutique standards that reflect The NOW's aesthetic and brand values. Operations & Financial Management * Oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory management, and financial reporting. * Drive boutique performance through strategic goal setting, KPI tracking, and effective cost management. * Analyze key reports (guest surveys, secret shops, utilization, retail/membership metrics) to identify opportunities for improvement. * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations. Sales & Growth * Lead by example in promoting memberships, enhancements, and retail. * Partner with the District Manager to develop and implement growth initiatives. * Identify and nurture top talent to support ongoing brand expansion. Recruitment & Training * Partner with the Recruitment Assistant during the hiring process -- the assistant recruits and interviews, then transitions new hires to the GM for onboarding and training. * Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and feedback, and manage corrective action as needed. * Support ongoing training to ensure consistent service excellence and team development. Qualifications * Minimum 2-3 years of management experience in hospitality, spa, or retail environments. * Proven success in sales, team leadership, and guest service. * Strong organizational and communication skills with a hands-on leadership approach. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. * Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Massage industry experience preferred (MT license a plus).
