We are looking for a talented and competitive Outside Sales Engineer that thrives in a technical environment. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making cold calls, generating interest, qualifying prospects, identifying customer needs, following up on proposals and closing sales. Candidate must be able to travel. Our company has served the high purity water market for over 30 years, providing equipment, support products and services in the Midwest. This is a unique and rewarding position with a small but innovative growing water treatment company. Responsibilities: * Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails * Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest * Qualify sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making process and funding * Maintain existing client relationships and establish new accounts * Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers * Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements * Follow up on outstanding proposals * Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas * Participate in industry conferences and trade shows as required * Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities as required Requirements: * 4-year degree required (Engineering or directly related technical field is highly preferred) * Customer focus * Proven outside sales experience * Track record of over-achieving quota * Strong interpersonal skills * Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM * Excellent verbal and written communications skills * Strong listening and presentation skills * Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Compensation * Salary commensurate with experience * Commission plan * Travel expenses paid by the company * Insurance benefits, paid vacation * 401(k) * Travel expenses paid by company Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Cell phone reimbursement * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
