Full description of the position
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic National Sales Director to lead our national sales efforts within the animal health industry. In this pivotal role, you will drive growth by developing and executing innovative sales strategies, expanding our customer base, and strengthening relationships with veterinary providers, hospitals, and clinics. Your energetic leadership will inspire your team to surpass targets while maintaining a customer-centric approach that emphasizes exceptional service and technical expertise. Duties * Regularly call and/or visit veterinary customers to develop relationships with key accounts and potential customers to establish new accounts. * Establish consistent buying habits with newly opened and existing accounts. * Promotes, presents and sells products to customers. * Demonstrate companion selling, upselling, and cross-selling skills to increase sales. * Meet/exceed sales goals. * Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. * Develop an in-depth understanding of the company products, veterinary distribution business, competition, vendors, and marketplace. * Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning, informing strategic decision-making. * Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving complaints. * Develop relationships with KOL's * Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that enhance brand awareness and generate new business opportunities. * Identify new products for research and development * Attend tradeshows. * Complete other related duties as assigned. Qualifications * 5 or more years of proven success in outside sales within the veterinary, medical devices or healthcare technology industry, demonstrating consistent achievement of targets. * Expertise in marketing strategies related to medical devices and technology sales to effectively position products in competitive markets. * Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer service-oriented mindset to foster long-term client relationships. * Demonstrated ability in business development--identifying opportunities, expanding market reach, and closing high-value deals. * Analytical skills to interpret market data, sales metrics, and customer feedback for continuous improvement. * Passion for animals * Leadership qualities that inspire teams through motivation, clear communication, and strategic vision.
