Job Summary Gator's Bait Barn (Wylie, TX) is looking for two dependable Part-Time Bait Shop Associates to join our team. This role is focused on customer service, retail sales, and assisting customers with bait, tackle, and fishing supplies. This position is ideal for someone who can multitask, communicate well, and is comfortable handling live bait. Prior fishing experience is helpful but not required -- we're happy to train the right person. Available Part-Time Roles Weekend Warrior * Saturdays & Sundays * Holidays required Flexible Filler Associate * Fill-in shifts as needed * Weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays Responsibilities * Provide friendly, helpful customer service * Assist customers with bait, tackle, and basic fishing-related questions * Operate the POS system for sales transactions * Handle and maintain live bait (minnows, worms, etc.) * Multitask and stay organized during busy periods * Keep work areas clean, stocked, and organized * Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers * Assist with opening and/or closing the store when scheduled (Key Holder responsibilities may apply depending on shift) Qualifications * Strong customer service and communication skills * Past fishing experience preferred but not required * Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred * Reliable transportation * Punctual and dependable * Team player with a positive attitude * Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment * Must be able to handle live bait Schedule & Pay * Part-time position * 15-30 hours per week * Weekends and holidays required * Hourly pay: $12.00/hour * Holiday pay available Why Work Here This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and being part of a small, team-oriented shop.
