Outside Sales Representative Mid America Wire & Cable - Tulsa, OK Job Overview Mid America Wire & Cable is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to support our continued growth. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, and driving sales of electrical wire, cable, and related products throughout your assigned territory. This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives in B2B environments and enjoys working directly with contractors, OEMs, industrial customers, and distributors. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will serve as a trusted resource to customers by understanding their applications, recommending the right products, and delivering dependable service that Mid America Wire & Cable is known for. Key Responsibilities * Develop and execute territory sales strategies to grow market share and identify new business opportunities. * Proactively prospect and generate new leads through cold calling, jobsite visits, referrals, and networking. * Build strong relationships with electrical contractors, industrial accounts, OEMs, and purchasing teams. * Present wire and cable solutions, including custom and application-specific products, based on customer needs. * Manage and grow existing accounts by providing responsive service, pricing support, and product recommendations. * Negotiate pricing and close sales while maintaining margins and company standards. * Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions, manage pipelines, and forecast sales activity. * Collaborate with inside sales, operations, and management to ensure accurate quoting, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction. * Conduct regular territory activity including customer visits, market research, and competitive analysis. Qualifications * Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in electrical, industrial, wire & cable, or related B2B industries. * Strong ability to manage multiple accounts and territories efficiently. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. * Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar platforms. * Technical aptitude with the ability to understand wire and cable specifications and customer applications. * Demonstrated success in prospecting, cold calling, and developing new business. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
