Entry-Level Insurance Producer Paid Training | Licensing Support | Base Draw + Commission Location: Indianapolis, IN (In-Person) Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

ProGuard Risk Solutions is a newly established insurance and risk services agency building a disciplined, compliance-driven operation from the ground up. We are seeking motivated individuals who want to develop a long-term career in the insurance industry, beginning in an entry-level producer role with structured training, licensing support, and a clearly defined path to professional growth. This role is intentionally structured to comply with state licensing laws by clearly separating non-licensable training activities from licensed insurance activities. Candidates progress through defined phases to ensure regulatory compliance, professional development, and long-term success. This is not a short-term sales role. It is an opportunity to build a professional book of business within a growing agency that values accountability, proper licensing, and sustainable income growth.

Estimated Annual Earnings: $30,000 - $65,000+ Actual earnings depend on licensing completion, production, and performance.

Compensation

follows a three-phase structure designed to provide income stability during ramp-up while rewarding licensed production and retention. Phase 1: Paid Training & Licensing Preparation Duration: Approximately 30-45 days During this phase, the individual is not licensed and performs non- licensable activities only , consistent with Indiana insurance regulations. Daily Tasks in Phase 1 (Non-Licensable Activities)

  • Complete required pre-licensing education courses
  • Study insurance fundamentals, terminology, and ethics
  • Learn agency systems, workflows, and documentation standards
  • Observe licensed producers during client interactions (no advising or quoting)
  • Assist with administrative support tasks such as:
  • Data entry
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Document organization
  • Follow-up communications not involving coverage advice
  • Participate in supervised training sessions and compliance instruction Not Permitted During Phase 1:
  • Soliciting insurance
  • Quoting coverage
  • Advising clients on policies
  • Binding insurance Phase 2: Licensed Producer - Base Draw + Commission Upon obtaining the Indiana Insurance Producer License and receiving agency approval, the individual transitions into a licensed producer role. Understanding the Draw A draw is a predictable base amount paid on a regular basis to support the producer while building a book of business. Earned commissions are applied against the draw, allowing income to increase as production grows. Daily Tasks in Phase 2 (Licensed Activities)
  • Conduct client consultations and insurance needs assessments
  • Discuss coverage options and explain policy terms
  • Quote insurance policies using approved carrier systems
  • Bind coverage in accordance with carrier guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and compliant client records
  • Follow all Indiana insurance laws, carrier requirements, and agency procedures
  • Meet defined production, retention, and service benchmarks
  • Participate in ongoing compliance and product training Phase 3: Performance Growth & Advancement After demonstrating consistent, compliant production and strong retention metrics, producers may qualify for enhanced compensation and expanded responsibilities. Daily Tasks in Phase 3 (Advanced Licensed Activities)
  • Manage and grow a personal book of business
  • Increase cross-selling and account retention
  • Mentor or support newer producers (if assigned)
  • Participate in agency growth initiatives
  • Qualify for higher commission tiers and performance incentives Income potential increases significantly at this stage based on performance and consistency.
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability and willingness to obtain an Indiana Insurance Producer License
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Professional attitude and reliability Preferred (Not Required):
  • Sales, customer service, or financial services experience
  • Interest in insurance, risk management, or compliance-driven industries Schedule
