Custom Carpet Centers in Buffalo, NY is looking for an outgoing and experienced Flooring and Carpet Sales Associate with 2+ years experience in the industry. The position is at our BEST locations in Orchard Park, NY About Us: We have an immediate opening for a full-time retail sales person to represent locally owned Custom Carpet Centers, with a reputation for high quality and premium service after the sale since 1965. We sell and install carpet, hardwood, laminate and vinyl flooring and ceramic tile, so the ideal applicant would be well-versed in selling and estimating all of these surfaces. Flooring and Carpet Sales Associate Job Duties: * Help the customers by walking them through the different flooring options * Asking questions to help narrow down their product selections * Setting appointments to measure the area that needs flooring and for the installation * Write up the final contract that shows a binding quote. Flooring and Carpet Sales Associate Qualifications and Requirements: * Interested persons should be highly organized * Good understanding and familiarity with multiple flooring types such as carpet is a plus * Strong decorating or fashion sense * Desire to work with customers in helping them beautify their homes * Must have Strong Desire and Ability to Regularly Follow Up With Past, Current and Future Customers Flooring and Carpet Sales Associate Compensation: * Paid training period while we teach you our business, plus a great opportunity for advancement * Training and salary based on past experience as well as potential to be a successful and productive immediately Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Health insurance * Paid time off Application Question(s): * How many years of floorcovering sales or service do you have? * How much experience do you have in working, reading or estimating from blueprints? * How many years of big ticket selling experience do you have?
