Full description of the position

Job Overview Upstate Systems is seeking a dynamic and driven Buffalo Territory Manager (BTM) that will have direct responsibility for Sales and Profit within the Western New York geographic area. BTM works with inside sales staff and customers to define residential and commercial product needs and provide seamless delivery of services. Supports inside sales staff in the design, application, and sales solutions for commercial projects. Communicates directly with HVAC customers in response to complex commercial and residential needs. Responsibilities 1. Generate residential and commercial sales for Upstate Systems. 2. Develop and execute business development strategies to identify new market opportunities and retain Dealers (Contractors) for year over year sales growth. 3. Must be knowledgeable of residential matched systems and learn how to use AHRI's website to provide AHRI certificates with non-Bosch products. 4. Sales planning for multiple clients; including working contracts, if needed, discuss pricing, and terms with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining high levels of customer service.. 5. Proficient in time management and scheduling customer appointments. 6. Relationship development for existing clients while actively pursuing new accounts through cold calling, networking, and lead generation activities . 7. Delegation abilities to utilize inside sales and other staff to grow your individual sales. 8. Ability to quote HVAC projects. 9. Coordination of logistics; work as a liaison between the factory and the Company. 10. Assist customers and our Sales Team with residential and commercial based questions pertaining to availability of product. Knowledge and Skills 1. Proven experience in outside sales, or territory management with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. 2. Accountability for your own business division. 3. Excellent customer service skills. 4. Thorough knowledge and understanding of Residential and Commercial HVAC terminology and related products. 5. Strong problem-solving and analysis skills. Ability to provide direction and support to others. 6. Interpersonal skills to communicate with clients and co-workers. 7. Ability to interface with multiple customer base - dealers and consumer - for resolving problems. Ability to meet deadlines. Level Summary 1. Five to seven years of related experience in HVAC industry. 2. Associate's degree or equivalent experience with Technical/Trade school or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3. Candidates with HVAC Sales experience that will need further development to become a TM will be appropriately considered. Reports To: VP of Sales Job Type: Full-time Pay: $63,613.18 - $86,609.43 per year Benefits: * Cell phone reimbursement * Mileage reimbursement * Paid training Experience: * HVAC: 5 years (Preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Buffalo, NY 14206
