Job Summary: The responsibility of a Leasing Consultant is to provide a high-end experience to prospects and current residents while following Federal Fair Housing guidelines. You will work with potential residents in helping them find the perfect apartment home at our community while maintaining that high level of customer service once they become a resident. Duties/Responsibilities: * Conducts in-person tours of apartment homes to potential residents. * Answers a high volume of incoming property phone calls. * Warmly greets prospects and current residents. * Walks marketing path, model, and show units daily to ensure they are clean and ready to be shown. * Reviews marketing platforms for accurate pricing and availability. * Responds to potential resident interest for rental properties in-person and via email. * Establishes tenant expectations for security deposits, procedures for rent and amenities that will be part of the lease. * Screens potential tenant credit and background checks. * Prepares and sends lease documents. * Ensures move-in packets are prepped and required documents received before move-in. * Adheres to all Rockwood employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, and regulations. Required Skills/Abilities: * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Excellent sales, interpersonal, and customer service skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Education and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * At least two years property leasing experience preferred. * RealPage software experience preferred. * Working knowledge of state Landlord Tenant Laws.
