This is a part-time, contract position (approximately 20 hours per week) with a flexible schedule, primarily afternoons and weekends. Who This Role Is For * Someone with a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn * Comfortable being hands-on and interacting with residents and contractors * Interested in real estate, property management, or construction * Able to work independently while staying organized and responsive Key Responsibilities * Assist with daily operations of apartment communities, including leasing support, and resident communication * Support efforts to maximize occupancy, rental income , and overall property performance * Coordinate maintenance requests and work closely with contractors and tenants to ensure timely issue resolution * Perform and assist with minor repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, smoke detectors, blinds, basic upkeep) * Help oversee unit renovations and ensure timely unit turnovers * Conduct weekly property and unit inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal * Assist with marketing & showing vacant units and preparing market-ready apartments * Support administrative tasks such as tracking expenses, maintenance logs, and documentation * Available for on-call needs, occasional emergencies, and weekend coverage as required Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework or degree a plus) * 0 -2+ years of experience in property management, real estate, construction, or customer service * Background in the trades or construction is a strong plus (handyman work, renovations, maintenance, etc.) * Comfortable using basic technology (email, spreadsheets, property management software preferred) * Strong communication skills and a professional, service-oriented attitude * Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties What We Offer * Flexible, part-time schedule * Hands-on exposure to real estate ownership and property operations * Mentorship and real-world learning in property management and real estate investing * Opportunity to build skills in leasing, maintenance coordination, and asset operations * Potential for expanded responsibilities and long-term growth Work Location: Hybrid remote with on-site work in Mount Airy & Manchester, MD (21771) Job Type: Contract Pay: $15.00 per hour Work Location: In person
