A Batteries Plus Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with battery, device repair (primarily Apple and Samsung cell phone repair), automotive Key FOBs replacements, and light bulb purchases. Offering technical support on product selection, performing battery tests and installations. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment and meeting sales goals; essentially acting as a knowledgeable expert on all sales and service solutions available at Batteries Plus. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet customers promptly, assess their needs, and provide knowledgeable advice on all Batteries Plus products and services, to find the best solutions for their needs. Sales: Actively interacting and selling all that Batteries Plus has to offer. In conjunction with suggesting add-on items to maximize sales opportunities. Device Repair: Assist customers with device repair solutions; troubleshooting, diagnostics on cell phones and tablets. Batteries Plus is a certified Apple and Samsung cell phone / tablet repair destination partner. Automotive Key Fob Service: Selling, ordering, programming and cutting of new automotive Key FOBs. Technical Expertise: Perform battery tests, installations, and power equipment pack rebuilds, demonstrating technical proficiency with different battery types. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels by rotating inventory, and stocking shelves. Cash Register Operations: Process customer transactions accurately, product lookup using the POS system to find the best solutions for our customers. Product Knowledge: Continuous training to stay current on product and service knowledge. Store Maintenance: Keep the sales floor clean / back room, organized, and visually appealing. Required Skills: * Strong customer service skills with a focus on building rapport and exceeding customer expectations * Ability to learn technical knowledge of batteries, device repair, automotive key FOBs, and lighting * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic computer skills for operating POS systems Job Type: Part-time Base Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week Benefits: * Employee discount * Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
