Hotel Indigo Riverwalk is seeking a Sales Manager to join the hotel leadership team. The newly renovated boutique style hotel is located ON the Riverwalk! Ideal Candidate will have prior IHG brand experience and downtown/riverwalk market experience. Responsibilities: Plan, direct, organize and control departmental activities such as telemarketing, account management, outside sales calls, conducting walking tours, entertaining clients, developing and soliciting new leads, presenting and preparing written proposals and contracts. Communicates with guests and team members both verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide clear direction in advising and instructing staff in details of work. Gather, organize and disseminate both written and verbal information regarding the specific requirements of client events to the appropriate departments and individual clients in a prompt, accurate, profitable, pleasant, and professional manner. Develops target lists and action plans for account solicitation. Prospects and qualifies potential leads. Participate where appropriate in related trade civic/business/market related functions as a representative of the hotel in the promotion of the property and/or the city Organize and/or attend scheduled Sales, Revenue and other related meetings. Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics that inspire team members to meet and exceed standards, and promote team member empowerment. Assist accounting with the collection of any attrition/cancellation or other monies owed by sales and catering clients. Assist the GM in the development of the Sales and Marketing plan as part of the annual budgeting process. Inputting and retrieving information from a computer system for file maintenance, correspondence and preparation of forecasts and marketing budget.
