Full description of the position
JOB DESCRIPTION As a Sales Account Manager, you will lead client engagement across Indiana, managing sales tools, scheduling visits, and delivering impactful presentations. You'll gather market intelligence, develop strategic plans, and build strong relationships with utilities, distributors, and engineering firms to drive growth and exceed sales targets. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Analyze and act on business opportunities to increase sales and profit to achieve or exceed territory sales objectives. * Prepare and deliver professional sales and marketing presentations to end users and distributors. * Gather accurate market intelligence of competitive activity. * Develop and execute sales plans to grow market share through selective distribution and end user conversion and provide valued added solutions for customers. * Actively communicate problems, concerns and opportunities to the office staff and complete other duties as assigned. * Adhere to all company policies and procedures. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Prefer a BS/BA in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field. * Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the Electrical Distribution or Electric Utility industries. * Position requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel. Work requires regular travel to current and potential clients. This position requires possession of a valid state driver's license. * Position requires a self-motivated individual who can operate independently but can also work collaboratively with other organizational resources. * Position calls for public speaking and excellent organizational skills and a sales closer mentality. * Position requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 365 is ideal. * Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and a dynamic personality to effectively correspond with customers and manufacturers. * Position calls for professional manners and appearance. WORKING CONDITIONS * Daily travel that may require occasional overnight stays and weekend and/or evening work. * Normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, and other factors. * Occasional lifting and hauling of manufacturer samples and literature.
