Overview
The Business Development Manager / Account Executive is responsible for acquiring new clients through a mix of outbound prospecting (60%) and inbound lead handling (40%). This role combines consultative selling, digital marketing expertise, and strong relationship development to help prospects understand how Digital Strike can solve their challenges. You will manage the full sales cycle from first outreach to proposal development to contract close with a monthly revenue quota and a competitive base salary + commission. Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within mid-market companies.
- Execute a balanced outreach strategy: 60% outbound prospecting and 40% inbound lead follow-up.
- Build, manage, and maintain a healthy pipeline that supports monthly revenue targets. Consultative Selling
- Conduct discovery calls to understand client goals, challenges, and budgets.
- Present tailored solutions spanning SEO, paid media, website development, content, and organic social.
- Create compelling proposals and scopes of work that align with prospect needs. Sales Cycle Management
- Lead the full buying journey including outreach, meetings, pitch presentations, proposal generation, and negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal teams (strategy, creative, paid media, and SEO) to shape accurate, effective solutions.
- Maintain timely follow-up and communication to move deals forward. Relationship Development
- Build trust and credibility with key stakeholders at prospect companies.
- Represent Digital Strike at networking events, industry meetups, and virtual/in-person conferences (as needed). Reporting & CRM Discipline
- Maintain accurate records of all activities and pipeline updates in HubSpot.
- Report on key sales activities, pipeline stages, and forecast accuracy. Key Metrics (KPIs)
- Revenue closed (primary metric)

- Outbound prospecting activity Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in digital marketing, advertising, or agency environment.
- Strong understanding of SEO, paid media, websites, content, and social marketing solutions.
- Proven success generating new business through cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone).
- Excellent presentation and pitching abilities, comfortable leading client-facing meetings.
- Skilled in proposal creation, scoping, pricing, and negotiation.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- High CRM discipline; HubSpot experience strongly preferred.
- Self-motivated hunter mentality with a consultative sales approach.
