Compensation This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $18.00 to $25.00, depending on experience, along with participation in CED's profit-sharing program. SUMMARY: We are seeking a Quotations Specialist to join our growing team! In this role, you will support the sales team in preparing competitive quotes for commercial, industrial, and large multi-family electrical construction projects. This customer-facing position requires excellent communication skills, accuracy, strong computer capabilities, and exceptional organizational skills. You will work closely with vendors, customers, and internal team members to ensure timely and accurate quotations. When not actively working on project quotes, this role will assist the sales team with various sales-related functions to support branch growth. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Read and interpret electrical construction drawings * Perform material take-offs for project quotations * Create accurate and organized bills of material (BOMs) * File job documents electronically and accurately in accordance with company standards * Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers * Work closely with sales teams to strategize on project quotes Provide sales support during non-project periods, including: * Assisting with customer inquiries, order entry, and product sourcing * Supporting counter and inside sales as needed * Following up on outstanding quotes and open orders * Helping maintain stock levels and customer-facing materials * Contributing to general branch operations to support customer satisfaction and branch performance MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * 1 year of customer service experience * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel * Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly * Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Background in construction--electrical construction experience strongly preferred * Prior quotations or estimating experience * Strong multi-tasking abilities * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines * Highly detail-oriented and exceptionally organized * Strong teamwork and communication skills * Self-starter with the ability to work independently WORKING CONDITIONS Standard office environment.
