Job Overview Conduct social event, wedding, and corporate catering sales directly with venues and clients and oversee the general operations of any events you sell through in person contact or indirect supervision. This job offers flexible hours, but all Mondays must be full office days in Marietta, GA. Expect to drive to other locations, such as venues and event sites, all within a 2 hour radius of our office. This position reports directly to the General Manager. Responsibilities Follow up on leads promptly (within 24 hours besides weekends) and communicate openly with the client in the initial sales phase. Record any tasks related to communication in our event management software Tripleseat under "tasks" or "notes" to communicate progress with other departments. Write sales proposals based off of our current menus, and communicate with other departments directly about any substitutions or deviations from the menu. Deal with any client communications via phone, email, text, or otherwise, in a timely and kind manner, while ensuring all clients adhere to the terms of our contract. Assess any new venues or event spaces by conducting a walk through, ensuring all needs from other departments are met when assessing a new space. Have comprehensive knowledge of our event management and invoicing software, and continue to build your knowledge about these platforms through additional training courses and resources made available internally and externally. Ensure anything sold that does not have a defined price is at a rate that is approved by the general manager, to ensure all sales are beneficial and profitable. Attend weekly BEO (Banquet Event Order) meetings IN PERSON to go over any BEOs that pertain to your events. Communicate with any departments involved in execution- this includes the prep kitchen, warehouse, on-site, and admin/office. Complete any additional tasks outside of these responsibilities as directed by the general manager and owners. Requirements * Proven experience or strong interest in outside sales, B2B sales, or technical sales environments * Familiarity with Tripleseat or similar CRM platforms is preferred * Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers effectively * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and internal teams * Demonstrated business development capabilities with a proactive approach to generating leads * Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently and as part of a team * Knowledge of the hospitality industry * Prior experience in account management, management roles, or food/beverage sales is advantageous * Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering value-added solutions Compensation This role is an hourly pay base, with commission available for all food and beverage sales. There is no cap on commission. In addition to hourly pay working in the sales role, additional hours are available to work as a on site staffer for any events, if desired.
